When purchasing gauze for a rug or carpet, be sure you purchase a piece large enough for mounting it and adding fringe on ends. A good rule of thumb is to add at a least 1 1/2" on all sides. For example, if the rug chart says a rug is 7" x 9" you would purchase a piece of gauze at least 10" x 12".
