The Samarkand Rug is 109 stitches x 169 stitches. It is charted using DMC floss colors. The approximate finished size is 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" on 40 count silk gauze. It could be stitched on 60 count silk gauze for a quarter scale rug with the approximate finished size of 1 7/8" x 2 7/8". NOTE: This design was originally charted for needlepoint canvas using wool yarn. The DMC colors were selected to match the photographs of the rug. They have not been stitched with these colors.
